Without speaking
emotions unfold
in silent gestures
stories are told
as he engages with mime
through space and time
manipulating
the invisible
he brings to life.

Tempestuous Thunderstorms
His lightning temper
stings her spine
she fights memories
fogging her mind
stirring emotions
and releasing pain
as tempestuous
thunderstorms
fire in her brain
fending off tension
her body drained
by his abuse now
seemingly contained
loving her
’til it rises again.

The Sacrament Of Leaving
A decision in sufferance
we said goodbye
to a not so old cat
whose time implied
a need to accept
the sacrament of leaving
in a shamanic ritual
with emotions heaving
in silent surprise of
such peaceful bereaving.
